Cala il PIL italiano

Le vendite al dettaglio tedesche hanno registrato un dato del -0.8% nel mese di giugno rispetto allo 0.2% atteso e all’1.9% del mese precedente.

In Italia, il PIL annuale ha segnato un valore dello 0.6% contro lo 0.9% previsto. A livello europeo, il PIL del continente blu ha segnato lo 0.3% su base trimestrale, al di sopra delle aspettative dello 0,2%, e lo 0.6% su base annuale, mentre l’indice dei prezzi al consumo ha segnato il 5.3% nel mese di luglio, attestandosi in linea con le previsioni. Tra i vari paesi dell’Eurozona, la Francia e la Spagna sono cresciute a un ritmo sostenuto grazie alle esportazioni e al turismo.

La scorsa settimana, i dati degli Stati Uniti hanno rilevato che l’economia ha continuato a crescere a un buon ritmo nel secondo trimestre, mentre le condizioni del mercato del lavoro sono rimaste rigide. Al riguardo il presidente della FED Jerome Powell ha dichiarato che è comunque necessario vedere una riduzione dell’inflazione duratura e per questo è doveroso mantenere la politica monetaria a livelli restrittivi. Gli investitori però scommettono sul fatto che la FED abbia finito con i rialzi, con un’aspettativa di non più di una possibilità su quattro di un altro aumento.

Se per le imprese inglesi c’è stato un periodo di difficoltà per l’accesso al credito, i privati sembrano cavarsela meglio. Secondo gli ultimi dati infatti, sembrerebbe che i prestiti aiprivati sarebbero aumentati. Infatti le banche avrebbero aumentato il numero di mutui erogati, sorprendendo i mercati. Il dato è il più alto dallo scorso ottobre, quando al Governo c’era Liz Truss con il suo piano di taglio delle tasse. Anche i mutui senza una garanzia sottostante sono aumentati in maniera sensibile secondo gli ultimi dati. Questo sorprende perché per loro natura i muti unsecured sono i più difficili da concedere per le controparti bancarie.
