Una settimana al verde

L’economia dell’Eurozona si espande dello 0.4% nel trimestre fino a settembre 2024, secondo la seconda stima pubblicata da Eurostat. Nel frattempo, la variazione dell’occupazione nell’Eurozona per il 3° trimestre è dello 0.2% su base trimestrale e dell’1.0% su base annuale. Inoltre, la produzione industriale del Vecchio Continente scende del 2.0% su base mensile e del 2.8% su base annuale a settembre, mancando il consenso del mercato.

Il Dollar Index è ai suoi massimi annuali a 106.81. Il presidente della Fed, Jerome Powell, dichiara che la banca centrale non ha bisogno di affrettarsi a ridurre i tassi di interesse, citando la continua crescita economica, un mercato del lavoro solido e un’inflazione persistente come motivi di cautela contro un allentamento della politica troppo rapido.

Gli investitori stanno seguendo il primo discorso del ministro delle Finanze, Rachel Reeves, che propone la creazione di “megafondi” per riformare le pensioni britanniche. La sterlina registra i suoi minimi annuali perdendo lo 0.6% contro il dollaro americano.
