Non si ferma l’inflazione negli UK

l’indice dei prezzi di produzione tedesco ha segnato un dato inferiore alle previsioni, pari a -1.4% vs -0.7% atteso, toccando un minimo dal 2021.

Il Governatore della Banca Centrale Lituana Simkus ha affermato che la BCE potrebbe continuare ad aumentare i tassi di interesse a settembre visto il livello di inflazione rimanere a livelli alti.

I dati sui permessi di costruzione USA di maggio risultato essere molto positivi, addirittura i più alti dal 2016: gli investimenti in tale settore si consolidano a 1,491 milioni contro l’aspettativa di 1,425 e il dato del mese precedente di 1,147 milioni. Positivi i dati anche per quanto riguarda l’apertura di nuovi cantieri edili a maggio, che risultano essere anche in questo caso più alti delle aspettative. Resta indubbio che il principale driver di giornata sarà l’audizione al Congresso di Powell, in un contesto dove il Biglietto Verde continua a tenere botta.

 

David Roberts capo del consiglio di sorveglianza della BoE, ha incontrato i legislatori della Camera dei Lord che stanno esaminando l’indipendenza operativa della Banca. Per prepararsi a futuri shock che colpiranno l’economia britannica, dichiara che “pensiamo che ci siano lezioni da imparare…dobbiamo fare un passo indietro e chiederci cosa possiamo imparare”. L’inflazione britannica continua a crescere, con il dato del mese scorso che arriva all’8.7% e l’inflazione core che tocca il 7.1%.
