L’inflazione USA alla prova dei mercati

L’indice europeo sulla fiducia ZEW di settembre ha segnato un dato di -8.9 contro il -5.5 di agosto e -6.2 previsto.

In vista del prossimo appuntamento della BCE dove si deciderà sul futuro dei tassi di interesse, che si terrà domani, i principali listini europei viaggiano contrastati intorno alla parità.

Il Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) degli Stati Uniti rilascerà la misura più importante dell’inflazione, i dati dell’Indice dei prezzi al consumo. Le previsioni degli economisti e degli analisti attendono il dato principale al 3,6% su base annua rispetto al 3,2% di luglio, mentre il dato core è previsto al 4,3% rispetto al 4,7% di luglio. Su base mensile, il CPI e il CPI core sono visti rispettivamente allo 0,6% e allo 0,2%. La pubblicazione dei dati sull’inflazione influenzerà la decisione della Federal Reserve sui tassi di interesse nella riunione della prossima settimana. Ci si aspetta una pausa da parte dell’istituto centrale statunitense, ma i policymaker hanno avvertito che è ancora troppo presto per dichiarare vittoria sull’inflazione.

Nel Regno Unito aumentano i salari medi, come ha dichiarato l’ONS la crescita è salita all’8,5% segnando il record degli ultimi 20 anni. Il tasso di disoccupazione sale al 4,3% nel mese di luglio vs il 4,2% del mese precedente, il numero di occupati è calato bruscamente e i posti vacanti sono scesi sotto il milione per la prima volta in due anni. In vista del riunione della BoE del 22 settembre, il Vicegovernatore Sarah Breeden ha dichiarato che cercherà un approccio equilibrato nel giudicare la necessità di ulteriori rialzi dei tassi d’interesse.
