Nell’Area Euro gli operatori valutano la possibilità che la BCE interrompa la restrizione monetaria, nonostante i livelli dei prezzi al consumo e la conseguente inflazione abbiano superato l’obiettivo di Francoforte e nonostante si mantengano  alte nel Vecchio Continente le preoccupazioni per una recessione economica. Il sentiment economico in Germania e nell’Eurozona rilevato dall’Istituto ZEW si è attestato al di sopra delle aspettative a -1.1 e 2.3 per il mese di ottobre. Si attende la pubblicazione dei CPI e sempre in giornata è previsto un intervento della Lagarde.

Negli States le vendite al dettaglio sono aumentate più del previsto a settembre registrando una crescita dello 0.7%, consolidando le aspettative di un’accelerazione della crescita economica nel terzo trimestre. La forte domanda illustrata dal rapporto del Dipartimento del Commercio, tuttavia, incrementa le probabilità che la FED aumenti i tassi di interesse entro dicembre. I dati hanno seguito la scia di una crescita dell’occupazione e dei prezzi al consumo più forti del previsto nel mese di settembre.

 

Dati contrastanti a livello macro nel Regno Unito: mentre sul lato salariali i numeri risultano essere non brillanti, i prezzi al consumo su basse annuale, pubblicati stamane, hanno fatto registrate un lievissimo incremento: la BoE rimane quindi con il cerino in mano. Da segnalare le dichiarazioni della policymaker Swati Dhingra, che commentando i numeri deboli sui salari ritiene che il mercato del lavoro si stia allentando e non vede un’ulteriore spinta alla loro crescita, rinforzando la sua tesi di un taglio dei tassi in caso di crescita stagnante.
