In Polonia a rischio l’autonomia monetaria

Il Primo Ministro polacco ha dichiarato che partiti di opposizione vogliono attaccare l'indipendenza della banca centrale portando il Governatore davanti a un tribunale statale.

Il Governatore è stato aspramente criticato dopo il taglio dei tassi operato a settembre che ha fatto crollare lo zloty: secondo alcuni, tale operazione è stata spinta dalla politica.  Dalla Germania, il Ministro delle Finanze Christian Lindner ha affermato che Berlino dovrà portare a casa risparmi a due cifre per risolvere la crisi di bilancio. A livello europeo, la Presidente della BCE Lagarde ha dichiarato che la lotta all’inflazione nell’area euro, non è ancora finita “e certamente non cantiamo vittoria. Ma vinceremo questa battaglia”.

Negli States l’attività delle imprese rimane solida nel mese di novembre: secondo la prima stima dell’indice PMI composito i dati rimangono invariati a 50.7. Dati positivi anche per

l’indice dei direttori agli acquisti del settore terziario che registra 50.8 vs 50.6 precedente. Non si può dire lo stesso invece per il settore manifatturiero che si attesta a 49.4 al di sotto delle aspettative di 50.

Il capo economista della Banca d’Inghilterra Pill ha dichiarato in un’intervista al Financial Times di venerdì che la banca centrale rimarrà ferma nella sua battaglia contro l’inflazione, aggiungendo che non può permettersi di allentare la stretta politica monetaria Gli fa eco anche il Governatore Bailey, che afferma che nonostante lo sviluppo positivo degli ultimi periodi le prospettive economiche complessive rimangono deboli e prevedono una recessione.
