Il saluto a Napolitano

Il Vicepresidente della BCE de Guindos è intervenuto commentando le attività della Banca Centrale Europea.

I rischi per le prospettive di inflazione sono bilanciati, il che significa che Francoforte non pensa più ci sia un rischio di surriscaldamento dei prezzi. Anche il responsabile delle politiche della BCE de Cos ha dichiarato alla rivista tedesca Börsen-Zeitung che dal suo punto di vista il livello dei tassi d’interesse che abbiamo raggiunto, se mantenuto per un periodo sufficientemente lungo, è ampiamente coerente con il raggiungimento dell’obiettivo di inflazione nel medio termine. Ha aggiunto che comunque l’inflazione di fondo nell’Eurozona si sta attenuando e che è troppo presto per parlare di tagli dei tassi di interesse. Cordoglio unanime per la scomparsa del Presidente Emerito della Repubblica Italiana Giorgio Napolitano. Le esequie in forma laica si svolgeranno domani a Montecitorio. Mattarella esprime “alla sua memoria i sentimenti più intensi di gratitudine della Repubblica”.

 

Negli States il PMI di settembre si attesta a 50.1  in leggero calo rispetto al precedente. Il settore manifatturiero segna 48.9 vs 48.0 delle previsioni, mentre il settore terziario registra 50.2, meno quindi dei previsti 50.6.

Nel Regno Unito le vendite al dettaglio, su base annuale, del mese di Agosto, hanno registrato un valore inferiore alle attese di -1.4% vs -1.3%. Anche lo stesso dato, su base mensile, ha registrato un incremento che non ha incontrato le aspettative di mercato arrivando al +0.4% vs +0.5% stimato. L’indice PMI dei servizi inglese ha segnato un modesto 46.8 contro il 48.7 ipotizzato. Unica nota positiva è l’indice manifatturiero: 44.2 contro il 43.0 stimato. I dati inglesi quindi non hanno incontrato le aspettative del mercato, in un contesto di crescita ancora bassa.
