Divisioni nel FOMC

L’indice PMI dei servizi italiano nel mese di giugno ha registrato un dato inferiore alle previsioni, pari a 52.2 vs 53 previsto e 54 del mese di maggio.

Anche a livello europeo lo stesso dato è calato da 55.1 di maggio al recente dato di 52 del mese di giugno, mentre in Germania e Francia il dato si è attestato in linea con le previsioni. Le Borse Europee hanno poi perso capitalizzazione nel mezzo della settimana sia per via dei dati sul settore dei servizi contrastanti sia per via della preoccupazione sulla ripresa economica cinese, che a sua volta alimenta timori sulla crescita globale mondiale.

In USA, in occasione dell’ultima riunione, il Federal Open Market Committee ha votato per mantenere i costi di finanziamento fermi all’attuale intervallo target del 5%-5,25%. Dai verbali realitivi a questa riunione, pubblicati ieri, emerge come il FOMC non sia totalmente allineato su come affrontare il momento, dato che nonostante l’unanimità nel concedersi una pausa alcuni membri avrebbero continuato con la restrizione monetaria. La comunicazione della FED ancora una volta diventa fondamentale.

Nella giornata di PMI in Europa, il Regno Unito non è stato da meno: il composito dello scorso mese è uscito in linea con le attese di 52.8, in pieno territorio espansivo. Lo stesso dato, ma nel settore dei servizi, marca quota 53.7 come previsto. I dati, pur non andando a battere le attese, si sono confermati in territorio positivo, facendo ben sperare gli economisti.
