In Eurozona, smaltita la mancanza di euforia trasmessa dalla BCE nella sua ultima riunione, continuano a riecheggiare le parole di Madame Lagarde, che ha ribadito ancora una volta come sia tanto il lavoro da fare per far convergere l’inflazione al livello target, dato che si prevede che rimarrà alta a lungo. Aggiungendo un tono ribassista alla riunione, Lagarde ha riconosciuto che i rischi per le prospettive economiche sembrano inclinati verso il basso. Inoltre, la BCE ha pubblicato la Survey of Professional Forecasters (SPF) e ora vede l’inflazione tracciata dall’IAPC al 2.7% nel 2024 e al 2,1% nel 2025. Per quanto riguarda l’attività economica, l’indagine prevede una crescita del PIL reale dello 0.9% e dell’1.5% rispettivamente per il prossimo anno e per il 2025…

Negli Stati Uniti, l’indice preferito dalla FED per il controllo dell’inflazione, ovvero il Personal Consumption Expenditures, è salito come previsto dello 0.3% su base mensile, mentre su base annuale il dato marca +3.4%. L’inflazione, si sa, corre di pari passo alla spesa dei consumatori e tutti conosciamo l’alta propensione alla spesa dei cittadini statunitensi.  Le spese personali, infatti, sono risultate essere in incremento dello 0.7% rispetto al forecast dello 0.5% dato dagli

economisti. I guadagni degli americani sono invece purtroppo in leggera flessione rispetto a quanto stimato, portandosi ad un 0.3%.

Calma piatta nell’isola britannica. Unica nota di colore sono state le parole di Sunak. Che ha annunciato una vera e propria lotta sull’intelligenza artificiale, creando il primo istituto di sicurezza che controlli l’operato dei programmi che adottano l’IA.
