L’indice dei prezzi alla produzione negli Stati Uniti è aumentato dello 0.9% su base annua a gennaio, secondo i dati pubblicati venerdì dal Bureau of Labor Statistics. Questa lettura ha fatto seguito all’aumento dell’1% registrato a dicembre, ma è risultata superiore alle aspettative del mercato dello 0.6%.  Il PPI core annuale è invece aumentato del 2% nello stesso periodo, rispetto all’aumento dell’1.7% di dicembre, mentre su base mensile dello 0.5% dopo il calo dello 0.1% registrato nel mese precedente.

 

Nel Regno Unito gli ultimi dati rilasciati hanno mostrato che le vendite al dettaglio sono aumentate del 3.4% a gennaio rispetto alla lettura precedente del 3.3%, più alta delle stime ferme all’1.5%. I responsabili delle politiche dell’istituto centrale britannico vogliono più prove sulla tendenziale ritirata dell’inflazione prima di essere sicuri di tagliare i tassi.
